The online enrolment flow

Students can enrol themselves through your organisation's public online enrolment pages. This article explains what they see, so Administrators know what to expect.

Browsing and choosing a class

  1. On Browse our courses, the student picks a course, then a class with a date and time that suits them.

  2. The class page shows the price and its GST treatment, any deposit due today, remaining places, the enrolment cut-off, session times, and the qualification or certificate on offer.

  3. They can choose Enrol myself, or Enrol others to book several people together as a group.

For fixed-cost classes there are no paid components, so pricing and payment controls are not shown during enrolment.

Completing the enrolment flow

After entering their details, the student accepts your terms and conditions and then works through a short series of steps shown in a progress bar:

  • Custom data collection β€” any extra information you ask students to provide.

  • Payment β€” shown only when there is an amount to pay.

  • LLND β€” a Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy check, for accredited classes where this is enabled.

  • Confirmation β€” the final step that completes the enrolment.

The payment step has a time limit; if it runs out the session expires and the student can start again.

Overseas students and contact details

The flow supports students who are not in Australia. The phone number field accepts international and overseas phone numbers, and the address fields let a student record an overseas location and country rather than an Australian address.

Once a student finishes, their enrolment appears under Enrolments in the admin portal, and they can be given access to the Student Portal.
