AVETMISS reporting and exports

RTOPilot brings your compliance reporting together in two places: Data Exports for your AVETMISS (NAT files) submission, and Reporting for ASQA delivery summaries and student surveys. This article walks through each.
Generating an AVETMISS export
The AVETMISS export produces the NAT files you submit to the government. Both in-progress training activity and completed programs are included in the file, so a single export covers your full reporting picture for the period.
Open Data Exports from the admin menu.
Select Start Export.
Choose the Collection Year and Collection Period. Periods are cumulative from 1 January (for example, the third period covers January to September).
Choose the State Training Authority this submission targets, or pick the national option if you are not reporting state funding.
Select Create. Your export appears in the list and prepares in the background, showing the student, enrolment, location and unit counts once it is ready.
When the status shows as ready, use the row actions to Download the files.
Tip: the download opens in a new tab, so allow pop-ups for RTOPilot if nothing appears.

Merging with another system's data
If some of your activity was recorded in another student management system, choose Merge Exports to combine that system's AVETMISS files with your RTOPilot export into one unified submission for NCVER.
ASQA summaries and surveys
The Reporting area helps you complete the ASQA Delivery Data and Student Survey template, often requested during audits.
Open Reporting and stay on the ASQA Summaries tab.
Select a report β Enrolment Completion, Unit Delivery, Student Survey or Issuance Register β then choose Continue.
Set a date range and select Run to download the report as a spreadsheet.
To export the questionnaire responses your students complete in their Student Portal, switch to the ASQA Surveys tab, choose the survey type and year, then select Export.
